Ok. This year has started to be really really frustrating.
First, our proposal for decent electives to patch the holes in the curriculum was rejected. They reasoned out that it is because the Psych course in this damn school is already good and complete.
That's bullsh*t. The curriculum promised for a complete pre-medicine track but now they are saying that it isn't? And why is it called elective if students were not allowed to choose and why should the decision of the majority determines the fate of the minority?
Second, I was pretty optimistic and hopeful to have a decent OJT. Apparently, the admin and the faculty are already expecting us to do clerical job or some other blue collar job and said that we won't be able to apply really what we have learned. So why is it called On the
JOB TRAINING?
Third, and I hope this won't turn up to be another frustration. But the teacher on Asian Civilization said that the Asian tour we are planning will have a big probability of being denied by the dean. Now that's crap. I was really excited to go to Bangkok. Shheeesss.
This is the last time I would even care for this God forsaken institution. I'll just graduate and never look back on it again. Sigh. Such a waste of time.
CONCLUSION: San Beda education sucks.

Our travel agent still don't know how much our itinerary for angkor, cambodia. I was checking it with her and she said they are still quoting with the Cambodian travel agents. Well, I checked the net and see for myself the net's "best deals" or "hot deals" and I was stunned with the prices. Exactly not what I expected. Kinda expensive.
Oh well what the heck. I'll stop worrying about it and just think about earning it back.

Well you've heard from maria and redpl8 that they're excited to go to bangkok for the asian tour. I kinda am too. It's first time to go out of the country with this group of friends. In fact, it's the one of the reasons I opted to stay with my present school. Weird huh? I had the chance to transfer to la salle and I forfeited it. Hehehe.

I don't know if this is really a sign of O.C personality D. but I think I should really be doing my presentation for my nomination as supposedly "outstanding" students. Now I get to be a marketer who wants to sell himself. Ugh. I really do not want this. I was just so pushed to the dean and when in front of her I just forget to say "no".
Well thinking of the positive side, I can get more favors from the dean if I get close enough to her. Hmm.... That
secretaryo of hers just ready himself, he's gonna fall off soon if he doesn't treat me good the next time I visit.
Ok... So what am I suppose to do again?

Every street has basketball court but every town has just 1 school
Students pay more than they learn
Doctors to back to school to be nurses abroad
Evrything is spoofed

Humbug!
I really hate some insecure people. Are they jealous because I get good grades? Or is it that I am financially capable? Or is it being nominated twice as contender for the Top Ten Outstanding Student of San Beda-CAS? What?
Do me a favor and just bury yourself right now. If you cross me again, I'll make your life hell on earth.
Please don't interrupt me while I'm ignoring you.

An Inconvenient Truth
Well, what can I say? We're all going to die.
I can't believe that we are actually destroying the only planet we call home. This global warming thing is just too big. It's like a
guillotine and we are waiting for it to fall down and chop our necks off.
I watched it this afternoon and I entered the cinema first for the first show. Behold, I was the only one inside. So i waited for a few more minutes listening to some music that was being played. I sang out loud and I didn't care. No one was there. It's like I owned the place. Hehehe.
All in all, it's a really good documentary. I like a good documentary. I'm not impatient anyway. I even watched some of NGC's docu that the narrator was like 100 years old. I don't care. I just need the facts. You don't need to make me laugh. (Although a few laughs wouldn't hurt)
Watch it! I have always been an environmentalist. I gave up shark fin's long ago. And believe me, I am a die hard protector of bears, especially panda bears. Ooohhhh, they're soooooo cuuuttteeee.

Can you believe that a small-medium callcenter makes about 1-2 million pesos a month? Believe it. If it is true, then, *my god*, I would invest in his company.
(Although I won't believe it until he shows me the income statement)

Old Man: Doc, I'm 95 and my 18 year old wife is pregnant!
Doc: Let me tell you a story about an old hunter who, instead of his gun, brought his umbrella in the jungle, met a bear, aimed his umbrella, pulled the trigger and the bear dropped dead.
Old Man: Impossible! Somebody else must have shot the bear!
Doc: Exactly!

Clinton uses his all the time.
Bush is one
Mickey Mouse has an unusual one.
Liberace never used his on women.
Jerry Seinfeld is very, very proud of his.

(Vincent)Starry Starry Night by Don McLean

Starry, starry night.
Paint your palette blue and grey,
Look out on a summer's day,
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
Shadows on the hills,
Sketch the trees and the daffodils,
Catch the breeze and the winter chills,
In colors on the snowy linen land.
Now I understand what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they did not know how.
Perhaps they'll listen now.
Starry, starry night.
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze,
Swirling clouds in violet haze,
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue.
Colors changing hue, morning fields of amber grain,
Weathered faces lined in pain,
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.
Now I understand what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they did not know how.
Perhaps they'll listen now.
For they could not love you,
But still your love was true.
And when no hope was left in sight
On that starry, starry night,
You took your life, as lovers often do.
But I could have told you, Vincent,
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you.
Starry, starry night.
Portraits hung in empty halls,
Frameless heads on nameless walls,
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget.
Like the strangers that you've met,
The ragged men in ragged clothes,
The silver thorn of bloody rose,
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow.
Now I think I know what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they're not listening still.
Perhaps they never will...

I really like the quotation from Desperate Housewives. "We all love our heroes. Because at one point of our lives, we wish to be saved. But if they do not come, we just have to rescue ourselves."
And recently I've watched Blood Diamond. One statement of Solomon Vandy was stuck in my head and resonate all the time. "Shoot me. I don't care. I'm already dead."

This week is midterms week. I've been late for two days now for the exams. I just can't feel the excitement.
At least I think I've done a good job in those two exams. And the highlight of the day is when I was in the
LRT nearing the station where I am supposed to alight, I discovered that I left my exam permit at home!
I have to trick the accounting people into thinking they did not print my permit so I can get again free and without
queue.

Waiting for the Big Draw
It's been a while since I've been online.
Last sunday I spent the whole morning and afternoon in
Powerplant. We've been waiting for the drawing of the winner of the Mercedes Benz and some other minor prices like LCD tv's and macbook. Well, we did not win. Hehe. We've waited for several hours just shopping. And at 5pm we sat around 50 meters away from the drawing venue and thought we would hear it through the speakers.
Around 5:45 we checked again the venue and they said the drawing was done! Bummer! Well, the guard said the winner of the car is from
Mandaloyong, without any emotion in his face. Maybe that's better so we won't feel worse. We're very hopeful that we could win since we have so many tickets. Hehehe.
Anyway, atleast I have myself now a new
Philip Stein bracelet. And we bowled.

It's midterms next week and I still can't feel it. I am used to overthink things. It seems that this sem is quite a breeze until now. I should just really stop thinking about so many things.
I guess I've lost all the excitement for things to come. I feel like there's nothing special about it. This is weird.

Tonight we're supposed to watch the
Pyro-olympics at MoA, Manila Bay. The whole area is a traffic jam! Finally after some time stuck in trafic in Macapagal Highway to MoA, we decided to turn bank and head to Hotel Philippine Plaza.
We watch it at the poolside of the hotel. And ate at
Spiral afterwards. Much more food than Circles in Makati Shang but the service is not as good. Anyway I enjoyed the food!! Delicioso.
PS: May crepe pa. And the apple sherbet is divine.

The thing is I do not have time and I hate to leave S.O. here. I hope I can find time this year to go to Europe. Yey, may low-cost airline na to Europe and Australia.

Why are some neighbors such a pain in the ass. I just came from the home owners association meeting. They have to call it because some members are not paying the dues. Well, that's one of the problem. Our personal problem is that some of our neighbors are extremely jealous of us, for what reason I don't know, maybe our house is just beautiful and they are such nasty people.
They are aiming to make your life worse and won't let you get away with your happiness that easily. The worst thing is that they don't fight fairly, instead they result to bad politics,
extortion, and will go as far as grabing power from the elected president.
The story is long so to make it short they are really nasty. But ofcourse we won't go down without a fight. We'll see.

I got my platinum mastercard about 2 weeks ago and I really liked what the package writes on the oustide.
"Mastering others is strength, mastering yourself is true power"
That's really true, atleast for finances. Some people think that credit cards make you spend and sink you to debts, but I think it is the best thing that happened to finance after the invention of the money/currency. I mean, if you need to buy something of large value, then you don't have to bring lots of money, that way you can avoid being held-up.
The thing is, you should budget and think twice or thrice before buying and swiping that card. It's really simple, spend only the money you earn. You should not also be too stingy and thrifty.
Here's a story:
2 old ladies met in heaven, one is chinese and one is american. (As we all perceive, asians are the thrifty type and westerners are spend-more type)
Chinese: I worked all my life and saved. When I had the money, I bought a big house and lived in there. Two weeks after, I died.
American: I bought a big house when I was young and I lived there. All my life I paid for the debt and two weeks after I fully paid my debt, I died.
Question: Which is better? Up to you to decide.

Finally, nakapag online ulit. Hehe. Ang hirap tlaga mag connect, sira kc dsl. Anyway, mai, nakatie up kmi sa PLDT for 2 years for their bulok service.
I spent my new years eve just by the window looking at the bright and colorful fireworks or seemed like patalbugan ng mga neighbors of their fireworks display. But anyway I enjoyed it. Hehehe. I slept around 1, antok na e.
Before falling asleep, I reflected on 2006 and the first adjective I can describe it is emotional. Such an emotional year. Financially, it was a pretty good year but everything else it kinda like a rollercoaster. What the heck. It's all over anyway. 2007 is a brand new year.
Ang bilis ng oras. I was thinking na next new year's eve graduating nako. Wow.
Zzzzz....
