Differentiating things
You might have some questions on the difference of terms like hallucinations and delusions, or neurosis from psychosis. Or maybe you might wonder how is biscuit different from a cookie and a muffin from a cupcake. So I'll clear this up for you.

Hallucinations vs Delusions

Both might seem the same as faulty perceptions. The only thing in hallucinations is that it has an external stimula and it is just mispercepted. Unlike delusions which do not have a stimuli at all. For example, if you are presented a pencil and you perceived that as a book, then it is hallucination. But if you are not presented anything and you said that I am holding a pencil, then that is delusion.

Neurosis vs Psychosis

People experiencing neurosis are typically in distress because of psychological or socio-cultural causes, while psychosis is losing contact with reality. So if you are depressed or really stressed out, you maybe experiencing neurosis, until your daily activities are severely impaired, you are not yet psychotic.

Biscuit vs Cookie
This may seem funny but they are actually the same. Both are called flat cakes and has the same ingredients. Biscuit is the term used in Britain and France while Cookie is used in North America.

Muffin vs Cupcake
This is the most difficult of all. I have to research on this. Well, it seems that cupcakes as the name implies are more like little cakes compared to muffins. Muffins are denser while cupcakes are lighter. Muffins are also associated with fruits and fiber while cupcakes are more dessert-like with flavorings like chocolate and additives like icing. Now that I cleared it, can you say what is in the picture?

Your food choices show your mood:

Angry people often eat meat which they can chew aggresively, it's like a release.

Lonely people eat bulky food such as rice-they feel empty so they want something that makes them feel full.

Stressed people eat chips or crackers

Sad people indulge in ice cream and cheese.

Sexually frustrated ones eat bread/donuts-they want something that slides down easy. No hassles.

Favorite quotes these days
Sometimes, fate has a cruel way of putting things together. Maybe it's better if people just give up when there's no point in fighting for something anymore. When the ship has finally sailed, only a fool would go after it when it's already miles away. But sometimes, it's a lot better to be a fool to go after what we want and need, rather than to regret everything in the end because we never even tried.
- Jack Sparrow

"Don't base your life according to what people think and say about you... Being happy is doing something that you truly love..."
-Shrek, Shrek 3

If there's just one piece of advice I can give you, it's this. When there's something you really want, fight for it, don't give up no matter how hopeless it seems. And when you've lost hope, asl yourself if 10 years from now, you're gonna wish you gave it just one more shot. Cause the best things in life, they don't come free.

Interview Rules
1. Leave me a comment saying “Interview me.”
2. I will respond with five questions (through this posts comments section.) I'll inform you about it.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview some one else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
*********

Paolo asked me these questions:
1. you are in a sinking ship with Cristy Fermin and an ant. Who would you save?
Answer: I'll push Cristy to the waters and step on the ant. Hehehe. Then I'll try to find some life vests and use it all. If I can't find any, I'll use her corpse as flotation device. Ahaha.

2. since you opened it up, why do men have nipples?
A: The human embryo follows the female template until 6 weeks. after that, the male chromosome will dictate the next steps for a male embryo, that's why we're left with nipples. FYI, males can get breast cancer.

3. write a short story about how the La Salle-Ateneo rivalry began.
A: I don't really know. I guess because of the UAAP basketball rivalry, other than that, I have no idea. La Sallian schools all over the world are even using blue as school color.

4. tell me about your most embarrassing moment.
A: Hmm... Natanggal ung swelas ng sapatos ko during my sister's 18th birthday! It was so embarrasing. The sole of my black shoe fell off about one hour before I was introduced, I decided to just take the other shoe's sole off. I walked and danced all night, "sole-less"!

5. if your life was turned into a movie.. who would play you? why?
A: I won't allow it. I am a private person. Hehe.

Leadership
Yes I admit it. When it comes to leadership style, I am a tyrant, a despot. I rule with absolute power. I hate opposition. (Well, I can take some criticisms since I am a negativist after all)

I do allow team members to voice their concerns and suggestions, but I do not allow them to take the steering wheel. Occasionally, I give someone the opportunity to lead, while I carefully observe. If he/she will not meet my expectations or failed, I put all the blame on him/her.

That's how I lead. That's why when I choose team mates, I always check first if they are loyal and extremely obedient. Then I'll pick out people who are competitive and skillful.

I am also the kind of leader who uses his rational thinking rather than his "heart". Don't get me wrong, I am kind. I just do not like people who get carried away by their emotions.

If I were the president during World War II, I would have allied the country with whoever is winning. If it's Japan, so be it. I always believed "Asia for Asians". Revolting against the Japanese during that time was one of the worst things Filipinos did. First, we would not have suffered that much if we surrendered earlier. Second, the Americans did not really send help during the invasion. Third, much of the destruction of Manila was done by the liberation forces. Fourth, Japan received more help from the US than the Philippines after the war.

So why did the Filipinos continue fighting? It's because their filled with emotions. They believed that the Americans will come. They believed in the black propaganda against Asians, particularly Japanese. They believed this is nationalism. Are these rational thoughts?

That's why they suffered.

Top 10 Books
Here are the Top 10 favorite books that I have:

10. Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders(4th Ed)
This book is the most expensive and thickest book I have purchased for academics, so far. It's the latest manual for mental disorders used by psychiatrists and psychologists worldwide. I actually haven't used it much.

9. 2007 New York Times Almanac
I bought this book last December 2006. My reference for the latest facts and figures for just about anything. These include world population, world health, world religions, global economy, global military situation, etc. There are also condensed history and info about every country in the world.

8. Jane Eyre
My favorite classic novel written by Charlotte Bronte.

7. Grilling Genius
This colorful recipe book focuses on the grill. Simply sumptuous.

6. Lau Hu Zi comics collection
These are chinese comic strips. Uhh... difficult to explain in English. Hehe.

5. Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales
Nothings better than the original version of fairy tales like Cinderella and Snow White. You will be shocked how different they are from the Disney version. Aside from popular fairy tales, there are also hundreds of fairy tales(original version) in this book, compiled for your reading pleasure.

4. Chicken Soup for the Soul collection
And here we are in the Self-help section. Probably the most famous series in inspirational books. The only downside is that it's expensive. Nevertheless, it's all worth it. I have around a dozen of these.

3. Why do Men have Nipples?
Contained in this book are questions that you would only ask your doctor if you're "under the influence" or questions that always bugged your mind. For example, Where does gas go when you can't fart? or Why is poo brown? or Is there really a G-spot?

2. The Villain's Guide to Better Living
I love the dedication! "This book is dedicated to all the villains out there who clawed their way to the top, and still want a better view. Take heart, fiends, the life you desire is within your bony grasp.

1.The Lazy Person's Guide to Success
If you're witty like me, then this is the book for you. This book offers alternative paths to success other than workaholic-perseverance type path. Be careful though, laziness plus stupidity will be disastrous combo.
