Someday by Nickelback

After the events that happened this few days. I find myself in the roller coaster of emotions once again. I read my posts last year during the same month and I realized what I am feeling during those times are exactly the same feelings I am having right now.

The bliss has passed and now I am back to where I have started. Damn it.

Don't you feel sometimes why we keep on going? I mean, life is just a cycle. I understand it now. The old Filipino saying, "Ang buhay ay parang gulong, minsan nasa taas minsan nasa baba." We often say this to people that are down and depressed. And yet we somehow misjudged the true meaning of this saying.

It simply means, now you're down, sometime in the future, you will again be in the bottom. Such a harsh reality. Honestly, I do not know how to answer my own questions in life. Everytime I found something greater than me to hold on to, it crumbles after sometime.

Whew. Long time no post. I can't say that I am busy. It's just that I am lazy to write about anything right now.

You see I have tons to work to do but for some reason, I cannot force my body to do it. I still have to do:

Counseling video - deadline, end of September
Clinical Psych intervention - also end of September
Report on Ab/Psych - next week (done)
Report on Counseling - 2nd-3rd week of September
Case analysis on Marketing - 2nd week of September
Tons of thesis work - every week of September

Shiiiitttt! Hehehe. THat's ok.

And oh, I finished some anime series on Crunchyroll.

Nagbrown-out pala kagabi. It turns out that there was a huge fire somewhere near. I don't know why but I panicked, saying that it is the end of the world. With the fire and lunar eclipse tonight. Weird.

Our theology professor who is a die hard fan of the monks who is running our school gave us an assignment, to write a reflection paper about their praying of vespers. I do not have anything against them really. It's just that the new administration are composed of stupid monks.

I nearly puked when writing this:

The monks’ prayer seemed very sincere and serious in their prayers. They reflected on each prayer and sung the songs with all their heart. They look as if they invite a sense of inner peace, not only to themselves but to the people in the chapel praying with them.

Since it is open to the public, the public can now enjoy the beauty of the vespers and join the prayer with the monks. They can experience the Benedictine way of praying and hopefully in the future, they can live with Benedictine spirituality.

I will encourage my peers to attend the Benedictine’s vespers by attesting how good the Benedictine way of prayer is. It is more than recitation. It is reflecting on the prayer and living it in our daily lives.

I will also try to be a model to them by living the Benedictine spirituality. I will pray as often as the monks to truly live a life of work and prayer. This way, I can be close to God while doing his will. I will read the Bible often and contemplate on its meaning. We should always start with ourselves if we seek change in other people.

My impressions and reflections are nowhere near what I have written. It's just that I am smart enough to cover this up for the sake of my grades. You see, just like a Philosophy class, you won't get an A in an essay unless you know exactly the philosophy of your prof. If you wrote exactly what he wants, then you will get A+++++++. The same with Theology class. Just kiss the ass of her idols.

In reality, these monks forces the whole school to be conservative while they cower in their quarters and fuck each other. Pweh. (Ofcourse not all). Why don't they just accept their sexuality and be liberal. Look at the school in green and the school in blue who constantly fights over useless things.

I'm back. Our DSL is down and I don't have a choice but to use dial-up. Inis. Ang bagal. Anyway, the last two storms flooded our place upto the chest but it did not enter our house.

Enough of that. Did I tell you already that I am a philanterist? Yup. I collect stamps for more than a decade now. I have four albums, two of which are special collections. Kinda like limited editions.

If you have stamps please give it or mail it to me also using stamps. Hihi. Just cut it off the envelope but not too near to the edges of the stamps. I will be the one to remove them. We have a way to remove them without damaging the stamp.

I want to put up a blog for my stamps. Kinda like a database but I would like to get some descriptions and appraise them first. Whew that's gonna be hard work. I have hundreds of stamps to photograph.

Anyway, here I am using a dial-up connection. It's so hard to call PLDT service. They really suck.

Thanks for visiting everyone.

Dream careers
I have so many dream careers. I have thought of these careers since childhood until now. Unlike other dreamers, my dream career does not change when I thought of something new, instead it piles up.

One of my dreams is to become a medical doctor specializing in surgery. I always told others that when I become a doctor I will go to Africa or other poorer nations to treat and heal the poor there. Though I don't know how to accomplish this since I am afraid of needles.

Another is being a lawyer. I think it is fun being a liar. A family friend of ours told me that lawyers will be the first ones to go to hell. But there is just so much pride in being able to tell what's legal and say some stuff about the law that amazes all other people.

One of the strongest dreams is to become a pilot. Maybe this sprung up from my fondness of travelling. Along with this, I also want to be an airline crew, a steward. Its cool to fly a plane and then talk to the passengers using the PR system, don't you think?

I also want to be a college professor. I always wanted to teach and give a lecture in class. That's why I like it when I'm reporting.

There are so many other career I want to try out. Some suddenly popping into my mind while some was inspired by an event.

My Bedroom
My workstation is the most disorderly part of my room. My laptop, papers and books are all on this table. I don't know why it is just so hard to keep a workstation in order. Once in a while, I clean it up and arrange it, but the next day it is in disarray again.

I also noticed that I do not have a scissor or cutter in my room. Whenever I need to cut something, I have to go to my younger sister's study room and get a wedge. Recently, I decided to get the cutter and permanently put it in my room. Since then, I had this weird compulsion to stab somebody with it especially females. Weird huh?
Well, my bed is as you can see, very simple. It used to be very elaborate when our house is still months old. I stripped all that because it's hard to arrange. Another weird thing is that my bed is directly opposite the door to the toilet. It's supposed to be bad with Feng Shui with my feet pointing to a door when sleeping. What the heck.

When it comes to my closest, I am meticulous. I always tell the maid to arrange my clothes, first according to where I use them and second, according to color.
The weirdest thing of all is one of the decorations in the comfort room. This supposedly is a mug, but it's cute and hard to use so I just used it as decoration. Anyway, whenever I go to the toilet, I notice that the mug is in a different position (see picture above). Then I would put it in its right position (see picture below). Later, when I would return, I notice that it is returned to the wrong position, then I would return it again.
This happens almost everyday. I thought it is just our maid switching it, but our previous maid left and a new one was hired, and the mug still switched. So weird.

OMG
I'm not really a fan of these school name and college basketball stuff, but for a change, I will write something about the UAAP. With the the hullabaloos and circus going on.

I can't believe it. Thomas Aquinas* really is the son of the devil. Ahaha. O baka mag magrebolusyong Tosino... ay este, Tomasino pala. Relax this is just a personal blog. I am starting to think that Paolo Mendoza is right about the miracles that Thomas can pull off. I guess we should just start calling him magician rather than saint, or magical saint, whatever you want.

I just can't decide if Ateneo is just plain stupid and weak or Ust is just plain god-damn lucky. At the end of the day, I knew that it was a combination of both. I'm talking about the UAAP game between Ateneo and Ust this afternoon. I don't understand how Ateneo could unleash a 10 point run and then let Ust stump them all the way afterwards.

Shocking indeed. Oh well... I guess the Demonicans... ay, Dominicans pala, had it this time. I wonder when will Ateneo stop being a push-over or just play well and not rely on buying their opponents.

About the other team on top, I've always said that they will never win. Even if they have the capacity the sweep the eliminations and the finals. Why? Because they do not want to win. They just want to prove to everyone else that they can do it. Kind of double purpose, they give pride to their school and later would be paid handsomely by other schools desperate to win. You know, game fixing.

Reminds me of last year. How they sold their game and school to let a desperate team to win. Hmm.. are we in the same page? Let's just call them, Universidad Oriental.

*I would love to edit a picture of the saint but I don't know how. Ehehe.

Wife: Hon, will you give anything to my mom on her birthday tomorrow?
Husband: No more.
Wife: Why?
Husband: I gave her a memorial plan last year and she did not use it yet.
