Whew. Defense is finally over. Actually kahapon pa. Hihi. Tinamad lang ako gumawa ng post.

Anyway, I made it! Hihi. I'm a bit disappointed though that I only got 90%. Damn, one point nalang...

Also, today was the hardest test I have taken in my whole life. WTF! I hope I get at least a B in that subject.

Whew! Finally. I've passed my thesis yesterday and the last long test for Biochem is over. Now, I just have to defend my thesis, sit back and wait for the grades. Hopefully, I do well.

Hmm... I've been tasked to bring the laptop for the defense! What a bummer!
I wish I have a MacBook Air. It would look cool with my Iphone. Hihi.

I'm not so busy now. Hmm....

I am officially withdrawing my support for PGMA and his corrupt government. I had enough of their lying and cheating. The economic gains just does not cover enough of that.

I am infuriated that her government would steal billions and billions of pesos while some teenager in Davao commits suicide because of poverty! Her evil husband and two sons are Satan's progeny!

Anyway, moving on to another topic... Nothing really happened on Valentine's for me. A classmate treated us to lunch since it is his birthday. It's really the first time I celebrated something on Valentine's. I never really liked the day. It's not that I am bitter. Even before when I still have a partner, we don't celebrate.

I just see no point in buying ultra expensive flowers when you can buy it so much cheaper the next day. There is also no point in getting stuck in traffic and waste time just because it is February 14.

Hmm, nothing much happened to me. It's still work work work.

I post some better next time. Hihihi. I'm too lazy to write now. Ciao!

Truth about being a vegan
There's been a lot of fuss lately about being a VEGAN. Since tonski has become one too, I decided I should give my two-cents.

Many people mistake Veganism from being a vegetarian. There may be similarities but the differences are way too big. You see, being a vegan is not as simple as not eating meat. While vegetarianism just focuses on ONLY eating vegetables and nothing with blood.

Being a vegan means you are totally against cruelty to animals. Here are some examples if you want to be a total vegan:

1. No eating of any kind of meat of animals. That includes sea animals like fishes, shrimps, crabs, etc. Also, pork, beef and veal are not allowed.
2. Since you are totally against hurting animals, then you should be against animal testing. This means you should not buy products that are tested on animals and believe me you will have a hard time looking for the right shampoo, soap, cosmetics, etc. Lush is a brand of cosmetics that is against animal testing.

3. Speaking of hurting animals, did you know that your leather shoes are made from animal skin? How about your football which is made from pork skin? Or your classic piano and billiard balls which are made from ivory tusks? Make sure you know which material is used before you buy any products made from animal parts. By the way, fur is not popular here in the Philippines but they are also not allowed.

4. How about so many other foods? Cheese seems to be fine for moderates. But for hardcore vegans, dairy products are a no-no. How about your cooking oil? Maybe it is made from animal fat just like your butter. So next time you eat out, ask first all the ingredients even the cooking oil.

So, is it hard? Of course it is! We are living in a highly carnivorous society. I am not a vegan but I am certainly against animal testing or any forms of hurting wild animals like poaching. The truth is, if you are really decided in becoming a vegan, you have to sacrifice a lot and really plan what you buy and eat.

Being vegetarian has a down side. You will not acquire much of the needed amino acids which are essential in making proteins. You have to plan carefully your meals so as to avoid malnutrition.
