Time Machine
"If able to time-travel would you rather go to the future or return to the past?"

I got this survey question in one of my favorite websites. At first I found it hard to answer. But after taking time to reflect on it, I realized that there's nothing in the past where I want to go back to. I would rather go to the future and see it.

I want to go to year 2013 and see my graduation. It would certainly be one of the highlights of my life. After all the crazy things, I am finally a doctor with MBA!

I want to go to year 2037. By then I would be 50 years old. I would like to see how the Philippines developed. Will we make it or we'll be stuck in our miserable state? It also scares me to death to see my in old age. I have a fear of old age.

I want to go to 3000 AD. I want to see if the world ended or what. Maybe human beings already moved to another planet because earth became too polluted. Or maybe aliens invaded the earth. Or maybe species from another planet is living in harmony with human beings. Hmmm.... Possibilities are endless.

My my.. It's been a long time. My bad.

Actually I wasn't really busy. I just can't find any topic interesting to write about.

Hmm... So maybe the Sulpicio incident is worth a few words.

Honestly, I can't believe the owners of this lousy shipping company is still at large and doing business. They should be jailed for the thousands of people they drowned in all the ships they sank. I can't believe they are still sleeping soundly at night.

The bad thing is, we, Filipinos rarely follow up an issue. We easily forgot about the scandals and controversies. Just look at the ZTE deal. Someone still hasn't been jailed! That dirty old man should be dead right now considering all his sins. And someone should tell Lucifer he is missing an associate, the pig husband of the president.

Anyway, enough of the negative stuff. I finally made my vision board! I am now officially following the law of attraction.

I had a lot of thoughts recently after going through a near-death experience. It was not pleasant I tell you but everything was insightful. I've gone through a lot of thinking about every aspect of life. It just affirmed to me that it is my calling to fight for quality, accessible health care for ALL people. Money should not determine who dies and who lives.

That is why I chose the Blue Medical School. Because it offered wide vantage points on medicine and how to view health in a systemic manner. It is not the ordinary traditional, boring school. It is about bringing up doctor-leaders.

It also affirmed to me that I should fight to protect our one and only earth. This is the only planet we have. We cannot destroy it. That is why I am with Greenpeace in writing this letter to Metrobank.
Dear Metrobank,

I believe that Carbon Dioxide (CO2) from coal-fired power plants is the main driver of climate change which ravages communities and economies. Globally, coal accounts for 72% of carbon dioxide emissions from the power sector, representing a major portion of the world's greenhouse gas emissions.

Because Metrobank owns Global Business Power Corp (GBPC), which together with Panay Power Corp (PPC), is pushing dirty energy projects in Iloilo City as well as Toledo in neighboring Cebu island, Metrobank is on its way to becoming one of the country's biggest contributors to climate change. This is ironic, considering how you market yourself as a responsible corporate citizen. Coal-fired power plants are now recognized as a major cause of climate change, the greatest threat to humanity. Any investment in such a technology that puts the future of the world at risk is simply irresponsible, inhuman, and unjust.

Therefore we challenge you to prove that its image as a responsible corporate citizen is sincere by canceling your coal power projects and instead invest in cleaner safer renewable energy solutions instead of coal.

Thank you for your time.

I had a lot of thoughts lately but I'm to lazy to write them down so I forgot them all. Anyway, I do remember a thing one or two.

First, I said to my sister before that I will not be shocked if cockroaches invaded the earth and make us their slaves someday. No joke. These animals are really smart and highly adaptable too! Just imagine that they never really changed much since the era of the dinosaurs, just their size. They are so adaptable that every few months we have to change the formula for insecticides because they become immune. And in a decade or so, we will run out of chemicals to kill them.

We would then have to rely on trampling them and they would adapt anatomically and develop hard shells. Eeeewwww. Just imagine. Flying roaches with hard shells.

I also watched the National Geographic episode on rats. These guys are really smart too. They talk about which food(poisoned/bait) would kill them. Yeap. You read it right. They talk about our foods! And they have a lot of mechanisms to survive in this concrete jungle.

So I thought I should give say something about the recent holiday. The so-called Independence Day.

I don't believe in this crap. We were never really free on June 12, 1898. That traitor Aguinaldo who sold us to Spain, doesn't even know that we were already being invaded by US right after the Spaniards left. How stupid can he get?! I never really considered him as a hero or worse, as a president. Traitor.

And I agree with moving holidays. That we would have long weekends! Hihi. If I were president, I would get some of the holidays and put them on the days that the transport sector decided to stage a transport strike. Yey! Now everybody's happy!

I just watched Narnia last night and it was great. Definitely a must watch. I watched it with the "X". Hihi. It's nice to be with someone you loved and haven't seen for sometime. I can stare at other hotties and I don't care because we're not an item anymore. But it sucks to feel that this person still knows how to push your buttons and make you all squiggly inside.

Anyway, it is a really cool movie. One of the best this year so far. I hope they come up with the next one soon so that the characters won't grow too old for the next movie.

Here is the song at the ending which I loved! Sakto as ending for a date with the X. hihi.

Isang araw, ang ingay ni Juan.

Titser: Hoy! Juan. Para kang tamod!

Juan: Sir bakit po?!

Titser: Ang sarap mong palabasin.

Haha.

Hindi ako madaling mabastusan sa mga jokes at kung anu anu pang porn o movie pero etong joke na eto, natawa talaga ako pero medyo nabastusan.

We have this stereotype that a basic education teacher should be female. Then we have another more terrible stereotype. That males who are teachers are gays. If a teacher joked like this in real life, he would be called a pedophile.

I hate it when people label some gays pedophiles even though they are not. Napaka-assuming ng mga magulang na to na cute ang mga anak nila. The truth is, I've seen a lot of children and most of them are not really cute! They just look like neglected nightmares.

I've said this before and many people disagree with me. Pedophilia should be decriminalized. It's an illness for Pete's sake! This only shows how poor people are educated with mental health. People don't know the difference between Gender Identity Disorder and homosexuality. People see Pedophilia as child molestation. Or Kleptomania as simple stealing.

"I am so right about so many things it would make your head spin."
-Miranda Bailey, Grey's Anatomy

There's so many issues now and Filipinos should make a stand on what they believe. Here's my take on issues:

1. Revive the Death Penalty Law. Prisoners are treated like they're dead in prisons anyway. Some family of victims take the justice into their own hands by killing the suspect. And crime is paid so lightly here in the Philippines.

2. Population growth should be controlled. It should be limited to two children per family. Families who will have additional children will be fined heavily and will have to pay all hospital dues. Their tax will also bigger.

3. Oil prices should be regulated. In line with this, government should buy back Petron to create a competition between oil companies. The oil cartel must be stopped.

4. Renewable, sustainable energy should be utilized. The Philippines is an equatorial country which means we have so much solar energy it will greatly lower our demand for crude oil.

5. Automobiles which are older than 2000 should be banned. Unless it was converted into a modern design. I hate it when I see cars which are pieces of shit in the road.

6. Cigarettes and liquor taxes should be raised. And I mean raise, raise, raise. It should be only for the rich. For your information, these things are not basic rights, they are hazardous to health and are a privilege. The exception is for red wine.

7. The government should be changed to a federal system. The current system of Imperial Manila is not working for us. The money a province earned should be spent by them too.

8. Implement a total log ban.

9. Allow the marriage of gays.

10. Raise the standards of education. Schools that are not performing well should be closed down. Liberalize sex education in schools. Set a minimum air time for media for educating the people.

11. Every Filipino should have health care insurance.

I am still in denial over the Democratic nomination for their presidential bid. I hate it that Obama seems to be the nominee already.

Can't they see that Hillary is better poised to defeat John McCain? Now we are in a lose-lose situation. The Obama will lose to McCain and the economy will crumble down.

Sheesss. If the American economy fails, the Philippines will suffer greatly. Well, I still have some hope that Hillary will be chosen. If not, I will just wait and hope that a Democrat wins the presidency.
